Documentation

turbo-wizard turns a small set of choices into a complete, buildable Turborepo monorepo. Every option below maps to a descriptor in the generator — selections compose into one coherent file tree with merged dependencies, scripts, and config.

Getting started

npm create turbo-wizard@latest

Or skip the prompts and build your stack visually in the Stack Builder, which previews the generated files and hands you a ready-to-run command.

Frontends

ValueDescription
nextNext.js 16 App Router with React 19. Can turn on cacheComponents and reactCompiler flags.
astroAstro content-first site, ideal for docs and marketing surfaces.

Content sources

ValueDescription
sanitySanity Studio and schema wiring for structured, editable content.
markdownLocal Markdown/MDX content, no external CMS.
noneNo content layer — start from a clean app shell.

Modules

Opt-in modules add cross-cutting capabilities. Mix and match any subset. This table is read from the generator's descriptors, so it cannot drift from what the CLI offers.

ModuleWhat it adds
uiShared @workspace/ui package, a real theme, and styled starter pages.
sections needs uiA composed marketing home page built from ui's primitives — static, zero client JS.
posthogClient-side PostHog product analytics, wired per-framework (opted out by default).
seoPer-framework SEO: Next Metadata API + sitemap/robots, or an Astro <SEO> component + @astrojs/sitemap.
vitestFast unit testing with a root tests/ suite
e2eBrowser tests that boot the built app
git-hooksPre-commit Biome check and conventional-commit message linting
github-ciWorkflow that installs, type-checks, and builds on every push and PR.
changesetsVersioning and changelog automation for publishing packages
algoliaSite search via Algolia InstantSearch React, wired per-framework (renders an empty state until env is set).
formsA sample contact form + validated API route, sharing one zod schema client and server.
llmsPer-framework llms.txt index + clean .md page mirrors so agents read markdown, not HTML. Zero deps.

Package managers

Choose pnpm, bun, or npm. The generated lockfile strategy, workspace configuration, and scripts follow the manager you pick.
